Boost Sales with AI Lead Scoring

A quick overview of how AI-powered lead scoring can prioritize your sales pipeline, focusing on the signals that matter most for conversion.

AI lead scoring solves a specific operational problem: a team treating every lead in the database the same and working down the task list in whatever order it arrives. Scoring ranks the database by motivation and probability of converting, so reps start the day on the leads most likely to close rather than the leads that happen to be next.

What if I told you you could leverage AI to score the leads in your database to identify the leads with the most motivation and the highest probability of converting? Well we had the same question as we ran into a problem with our team's ability to prioritize leads and figure out where they should be spending their time, which leads to follow up with first.

And instead what they were doing was essentially treating all leads the same and just focused on getting through the tasks on a day-to-day basis. And so I wanted to figure out how could we solve this problem and actually leverage AI models to help solve this and provide some direction to the team on where to focus their energy.

So I wanted to share quickly how you could think about solving this problem for your business and actually walk through the workflow that I built out to actually address this issue.

Common questions

What problem does AI lead scoring actually solve?
A prioritisation problem, not a data problem. The team could not tell which leads deserved attention first, so in practice they treated every lead the same and focused on getting through the day's tasks in order. Scoring gives the team direction on where to spend their energy, which is a different thing from giving them more leads.
What does an AI lead score represent?
Two things combined: how motivated the seller appears to be, and how likely that lead is to convert. Ranking the existing database on those two axes is what surfaces the leads worth calling first.
Do you need new leads to benefit from lead scoring?
No. The starting point here was the leads already sitting in the database. Scoring is a way to get more out of records you have already paid to acquire, before spending anything on acquiring more.
Is AI lead scoring a model or a workflow?
Both, and the workflow is the part that decides whether it works. A score that does not change who gets called first changes nothing. The build has to route the ranked output back into the team's daily task order.
